Deer Creek School District is Oklahoma's premier public school district.  Well-known for its small town feeling with major parental involvement, excellence in education, and outstand athletic department, Deer Creek Schools are a major drawing point for Council Ridge.
 
Deer Creek School District was founded in 1921.  The district was originally comprised of 13 one-room school houses but now has a district enrollment of nearly 4,000.  Currently there are several new constructions projects underway and when completed will include additions to Deer Creek High School, a Freshman Academy, new Middle School, new Stadium, new Athletic Facilities, new Fine Arts Center, new Operations Building, and additions to the Administration Building.
 
The District is 72 square miles and includes portions of three counties, Oklahoma, Logan, and Cleveland and two cities, Oklahoma City and Edmond.
